This painting is about Joy. It shows the flowers blooming and our rivers flowing. We knew the seasons and when it was time for certain fish to be in large numbers. We knew what season to hunt certain food and when it was time to replenish the land through back burning. Just like happiness there is times when it comes in large amounts and seasons when it is low, but through the low seasons we still have access to other ‘foods’ that can fill our cup and we should try and find joy in all seasons.
